Fylvy vs Aragon: an honest comparison
Updated October 30, 2026 · 14 min read

Fylvy keeps the order simple. You pay $39 once and all 10 looks are included, so you are not paying more to unlock extra backgrounds and outfits. You don't create an account. Your selfies are deleted the moment your photos are made. And you can still request a refund after downloading your photos, if none of them are usable.
Aragon is one of the biggest names in AI headshots. It says it has generated over 40 million headshots, it sells to individuals and to large companies, and it offers more headshots per order on its top package than most services. Fylvy is smaller: you upload 8–20 selfies, pay $39 once, and get 40 headshots in 10 looks, usually within about an hour, with no account to set up.
Below we compare the two on the things that actually decide a purchase: price, how many photos and looks you get, speed, refunds, privacy and team options. Every Aragon fact comes from Aragon's own website, checked on October 30, 2026, and every Fylvy fact from fylvy.com the same day. Where Aragon is the better fit, we say so. The same kind of comparison is on our pages for HeadshotPro and BetterPic.
The short answer
- Choose Fylvy if you want all 10 looks included at one price instead of paying more to unlock extra backgrounds and outfits, no account, your selfies deleted the moment your photos are made, and a refund you can still request after downloading your photos.
- Choose Aragon if you want the most headshots in one order (up to 100), the fastest delivery, a print-quality resolution option, AI editing tools, live agent support, or a company team plan with SSO and a SOC 2 report.
Put a person on each side. Someone updating LinkedIn, a company bio and a speaker page, who wants several backgrounds without picking a tier, is the Fylvy customer. Someone who wants every outfit Aragon offers, a file large enough to print, or a company account with SSO, is the Aragon customer. A three-person practice that can each pay for their own photos is Fylvy. A company rollout with an admin and a security review is Aragon.

Price and what you actually get
Aragon has three one-time packages. On October 30, 2026 its pricing page showed them at $35, $45 and $75, each with a higher crossed-out price ($44, $56 and $94), so the current prices appear to be a promotion. Here is what each includes, per that page:
- $35: 40 headshots, 45 minutes generation time, a choice of 1 attire and 1 background, standard resolution.
- $45: 60 headshots, 30 minutes, 2 attires and 2 backgrounds, standard resolution.
- $75: 100 headshots, 15 minutes, all attires and all backgrounds, enhanced resolution.
Fylvy is $39 for 40 headshots in 10 looks: classic gray studio, bright white studio, modern office, outdoor, city street, library, dark executive, creative casual, tech startup, and medical/professional.
Who each package is for
Aragon's $35 package suits someone who already knows the one outfit and the one background they want, and who likes that it is $4 less than Fylvy for 40 photos. It is a single look, not a set.
Aragon's $45 package suits someone who wants two outfits and two backgrounds, 60 headshots, and about 30 minutes. You are choosing a short list of styles rather than receiving a fixed set.
Aragon's $75 package suits someone who wants the largest possible set and the widest wardrobe Aragon sells: 100 headshots, every attire and background, about 15 minutes, and the enhanced resolution. If that is the brief, it is more than Fylvy offers at any price.
Fylvy's $39 suits someone who does not want to decide the background in advance. All 10 looks are in the order, so a LinkedIn crop, a company page and a conference bio can come from the same checkout. You are not moving up a tier to unlock the second or third backdrop.
Aragon also sells subscription plans. The pricing page title and the refund and privacy policies mention them, but no subscription prices were visible on the pages we checked on October 30, 2026, so we are not quoting any. Fylvy has no subscription: one payment of $39, nothing to cancel.
Speed
Aragon lists generation times of about 45 minutes, 30 minutes and 15 minutes depending on the package. Fylvy's results usually arrive within about an hour; we email you a private link as soon as they're ready, so you can close the page.
Choose Aragon's faster packages if you want the photos in 15 or 30 minutes. Choose the $35 package if 45 minutes and one backdrop is the brief. Choose Fylvy if about an hour is soon enough for a profile, a new job, or a team page. For most of those uses, an hour or less either way is fast enough. The speed difference matters when the photo has to exist before a meeting that starts soon.
Image quality and resolution
Aragon is specific about resolution: its standard packages produce 896 × 1088 pixel images, and its top package doubles that to 1792 × 2176 pixels, which Aragon describes as suitable for high-quality prints. Aragon also points out that LinkedIn only recommends a 400 × 400 profile photo.
Fylvy's photos are made for the places people actually use a headshot: LinkedIn and other profiles, resumes, company sites, email signatures and listings. If you need a large printed portrait, a banner or a magazine page, Aragon's enhanced-resolution package (or a photographer) is the better choice. A photographer is also the right call when the file has to be a real photograph, which we cover in AI headshots vs a photographer.
On likeness, both services are honest that AI isn't perfect. Fylvy tells you plainly that some images will miss, which is why you get 40 to choose from. Aragon offers a free redo if your photos don't represent you. Whichever you pick, plan to choose favorites rather than expect every frame to be the one.

Refunds and redos
Aragon's refund policy (the "Aragon Guarantee") offers a complimentary redo or a 100% refund when photos don't accurately represent you, with conditions:
- Refund requests must be made within 14 calendar days of purchase.
- Downloading your photos counts as using the product. Aragon lets you preview all your photos before downloading, and its pricing FAQ says a full refund is available "given that you haven't downloaded" them; if you have, support assists case by case.
- Aragon reviews your uploads to check you followed its upload instructions.
- Team accounts get only partial refunds, for unused credits.
A free regeneration is available by contacting support, according to Aragon's pricing FAQ.
Fylvy's policy, in our refund policy:
- If our system can't create your headshots, you get the full $39 back automatically and an email. You don't have to ask.
- Every order includes one redo within 7 days of purchase, requested from your results page, if the photos don't look like you.
- You can request a full refund within 7 days of delivery if none of your headshots are usable because they clearly don't resemble you, if you were charged twice, or if your results never arrived. This must be before your redo photos are delivered; after a redo is delivered, the order is no longer eligible for a refund.
- Downloading your photos doesn't by itself end your eligibility.
Aragon's path suits someone who can judge the photos in the preview and who wants 14 days to ask, without downloading first. Fylvy's path suits someone who wants to download the set, look at it on their own screen, and still ask for a refund if none of the photos are usable. The Fylvy request has to be within 7 days of delivery, and before redo photos are delivered. Neither refunds you just for preferring some styles over others.
Privacy and data
Aragon's privacy policy is detailed. For one-time purchases it says it will permanently delete or anonymize your face data within 30 days after delivery of the AI content you requested (or sooner if you delete it, close your account, or your organization sets a shorter retention period). Subscription users' face data may be kept until the subscription ends, and never beyond one year from collection. Aragon says it contractually prohibits its AI providers from training general models on face data, and that you can delete your account and data at any time from your account settings. It is SOC 2 Type II compliant, per its site.
Fylvy deletes your uploaded selfies automatically as soon as your headshots are created (or immediately if the order fails). The private model trained on your photos is used only for your order and its one redo, is deleted on request, and is never kept longer than 1 year. We never sell your photos or use them to train other AI models. To delete everything, email support@fylvy.com from the address you paid with. The full write-up is in our privacy policy.
If your employer requires a SOC 2 report, Aragon is the service that publishes one. If you just want your selfies off the server as soon as the headshots exist, Fylvy deletes them at that point rather than holding face data for the 30 days Aragon describes for one-time purchases.
Accounts, support and extras
Aragon is an account-based service with extras aimed at people who want to keep working on the photos: a suite of AI editing tools (background replacement, a pose editor, object removal, a blemish remover and more) and live agents available 7am to 11pm Pacific, Sunday through Thursday.
Fylvy has no account and no app to install. You upload, pay through Stripe, and get a private link by email; if you lose it, the Find my photos page emails it again. Support is by email at support@fylvy.com, and a real person reads every message. That is the better fit if you want the photos and you don't want a dashboard. Aragon is the better fit if you want live agents during those hours, or you want to edit the background, pose or small details after delivery.
Teams
Aragon's team product is well developed, and it is the fit for a company that wants one place to run the rollout. Its Headshots for Teams page lists Teams Basic at $45 per person (admin dashboard, invites by link or email, 1 free edit per member, up to 1 custom background, up to 1 work email domain) and Teams Pro with custom pricing, which adds print-quality resolution, custom backgrounds and attires, multi-admin access, SSO, an API, an album approval flow and security reviews. Each team member gets an album of 100 headshots, and bulk purchases can save "up to 20%," according to the page. There's no minimum team size.
Teams Basic suits a company that wants invites, one custom background and an admin, at $45 per person. Teams Pro suits a company whose IT team has asked for SSO, an API, or a security review, or whose brand needs custom backgrounds and attires.
A small team can use Fylvy by having each person place their own $39 order and pick the same look from the set, so a team page stays consistent. There is no team discount on Fylvy. Read how that works on our teams page. For a company rollout with central billing and brand controls, Aragon is the tool built for it.
Who each one is best for
Aragon is likely the better choice if you:
- want up to 100 headshots and every outfit and background in one order, which is the $75 package
- need the enhanced resolution Aragon describes as suitable for high-quality prints (1792 × 2176 on the top package)
- want delivery in 15–30 minutes
- want to edit photos after delivery, or want live agent support between 7am and 11pm Pacific, Sunday through Thursday
- are buying for a company and need SSO, an admin dashboard, custom backgrounds, or a SOC 2 report
Fylvy is likely the better choice if you:
- want 10 different looks without paying extra to unlock backgrounds and outfits
- don't want to create an account
- want your selfies deleted as soon as your photos exist
- want to review and download your photos before deciding on a refund
- need a polished headshot for LinkedIn, a resume, a company bio or a listing, and a printed poster is not the job
If you only need one attire on one background and you want the $35 price, Aragon's entry package is built for that narrow brief. If you might need a studio shot and an outdoor shot and you don't want to choose them before you pay, Fylvy's 10 looks are already in the $39.

Getting good results from either service
AI headshots are only as good as the selfies you give them. On either service:
- Use recent photos of only you, in soft, even light.
- Vary the angle, outfit and background across your photos.
- Avoid hats, sunglasses, masks, hands over your face and heavy filters.
- Leave out group photos and blurry or dark shots. Fylvy checks each photo before you pay and won't count ones that won't work.
- Plan to pick your favorites. Not every AI image will be a keeper, on any service.

Will my photos be used to train AI?
Both say no. Fylvy never uses your photos to train other AI models and deletes your selfies once your headshots are created. Aragon says it contractually prohibits its AI providers from using face data to train generalized models.

Yes on Fylvy: you own your headshots and can use them anywhere, including your website, business cards, team pages and press. Aragon says your photos are yours to use, including for social media, professional profiles, print and personal use.
